Dante's Inferno. The Epic Animated Movie

Dante’s Inferno is the animated epic movie from the same guys who brought you dead space the animated movie and of the soon to be hit video game from Ea games.

Dante’s Inferno follows the epic journey of Dante, a dedicated knight of the third crusade. He fleas the crusade to return home to his wife Beatrice, but instead he returns home to what he never expected, the entire village has been murdered and he fears the worse and finds Beatrice lying holding her stomach as she has been stabbed. But little as Dante knows she said when he left that she would give her soul to Lucifer himself if Dante does not stay faithful whilst on the holly crusade, her soul is free from her body and ascending to heaven when a unexpected and very unwelcome appearance by Lucifer is made and takes her soul and claims it as his own and this is where the epic journey begins for Dante as he leads his journey in to getting her soul back.

Dante isn’t alone in hell, he has a spirit guide who goes by the name of Virgil who is a shadow of his former self and guides Dante through the 9 circles of hell which are limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery, and along the way he bumps in to some familiar faces and some unwanted ones. Each circle of hell poses a new challenge for Dante and gets him that step closer to saving Beatrice’s soul from the hands of Lucifer.

The movie its self is brilliant with some outstanding attention to detail with the animation and brutal fights between Dante and the demons of hell. Accompanying the movie and immersing you in to the fights and feeling of the scenes is a really well composed soundtrack which captures you perfectly. The voices were all really well suited for the characters which are voiced by Mark Hamill (who you all know from Star Wars), Victoria Tennant, Vanessa Branch & Graham McTavish.

Being there is a video game out almost the same time as the movie is released you can become Dante and endure his travels and epic battles against some truly grotesque and giant enemies and if the movie is anything to go buy the game is going to be truly brilliant and awe inspiring.

Dante’s inferno is already been tagged as one of the goriest manga films in a while. This is one DVD that you will buy and will watch and think wow, it really is well worth spending money on this one and its also coming out and available on blue-ray DVD as well for all you guys who love the super hi def experiences. I can safely say this truly does live up to the name that appears before you on the screen “An Animated Epic” , it will have you captivated and very wanting more and to want to watch it again.
