Fantasy Enjoyable Strategy! Elven Legacy Review

Elven Legacy developed and published by Paradox interactive, Elven Legacy offers and brings you a very challenging strategy turn based game.

Elven Legacy is a game set in a world of fantasy which is made up of elves, humans, sorcerers and dwarfs. The story line sees you on the quest to stop and to retrieve the forbidden spell sheets that were stolen by a human mage from land protected by the inquisition and he has already preformed one of the forbidden spells which had devastating power and intends to use them more, you must get to him before the inquisition do.

A follow on from fantasy wars, Elven Legacy is a real true strategy game for the hardcore strategy gamers or just the normal gamers who love there strategy’s and who like a tuff battle which takes careful thought and decision making  in order to win the battles against the powerful enemy’s

With various heroes in the different groups who posses each of there own powerful attacks and attributes that will add the advantages to your units when needed in that crucial strike moment that could tilt the battle in your favour, or if you miss judge the opponent it will tip the tables in there favour and that’s when you get your arse kicked, also there isn’t just one type of unit there is a wide variety of different units which are very useful especially in huge battles which require the different types of units.

Also there’s a choice to create a mission which is really cool due to you being able to change allsorts make it as hard or as simple as you like, which is worth a look and spending some time on, but if you would rather just jump straight in to a game you can always choose the story or the quick mission or the online play which is cool and a different challenge completely from the normal single player due to you having to think on your feet and try to out smart opponents who are as smart as you are.

The controls are fairly easy to use if your familiar to the turn based games or the likes of world of Warcraft 3, but if not then they are easy to get used to and can get you really thrown in to the game as you embark on your missions with the ease of easy to learn controls. Each turn you take is accompanied by helpful move spaces and areas on the floor so you no where you can move instead of spending ages furiously clicking the mouse like a nutcase wondering why you wont move, its quick moves as well instead of being sat there whilst you wait for someone walking real slow to get to where you want them.

Graphically the game is nicely done with bright vibrant colours and smooth flowing gameplay in a non linear world, the graphics might not be super high spec and all fancy like the cutting edge games that come out today and if you’re a real gamer you will understand when I say that graphics isn’t what makes a game great it’s the gameplay and storyline and enjoy ability of the game that makes a it great , which this game does all that , it has a enjoyable story line and has some of the most enjoyable game play  which is accompanied by nice and colourful graphics which are a pleasure on the old eyeballs and your ears are graced with a nice sound fx and ambience  to run along side the lovely visuals and the enjoyable gameplay and heated battles.

Overall Elven Legacy is a game that will have you busy for ages and not a hour or so like some of the games that are coming out today which you get fed up of in next to no time, it’s worth a look for all you lovers of strategy games or if your wanting a change of game types then this is worth a look. So get over to GamersGate and setup a account and order Elven Legacy and have a blast.
