Shaken, not Stirred! Quantum of Solace Review

It’s your chance to play as Britain’s best MI-6 agent 007 James Bond in his latest and best game to date the Quantum of Solace. Playing through both smash hit movies the Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace on the Call Of Duty 4 engine and with full stunning 1080p HD experience putting you straight into the action through first person and third person perspectives with a vast range of arsenal to save the beautiful bond girls and to kill Greene and Whites villains, with the amazing detail on scenery and especially on Bond with Daniel Craig and other members from the movies lending their face and voice for the game, it also includes awesome fast action shoot outs than any other 007 game.

Sadly you don’t get to drive the Aston martin DBS but the game-play itself makes up for the intense action, shoot outs and close combat take downs.

The game starts off with a stunning intro to the great detail of bonds new adventure with you standing over a shot down Mr White and then the action starts off with you getting shot at and forced to leave Mr White and run away and blocking your path is numerous guards so you can either run down guns blazing but if you take too much damage the blood barrel will start filling the screen so get to cover to regenerate your health back up. The HUD is effective because it doesn’t take up the entire screen only the essentials are shown with compass and gun/name with ammo and health/stance icon. When going through Whites estate its taking you through the basics of the controls which is very easy to get to grips with so old and new gamers can take to it easy.

There are a few new features to the game series which is the cover system which puts you into third person perspective when you are taking cover which is handy when you are getting shot at and can easily see the enemy(s) coming for you or finding their hiding spots which then you can pop up to take them out or try your luck with pointing your gun over and shooting wildly. The enemy’s AI is pretty good they will work together by flanking or keeping you pinned down with suppressed fire but don’t hang about the same place for too long as they will use grenades to flush you from your hiding spot and shoot you dead as a door nail.

One other good feature is the Take Down control which is how it sounds when you get up close and personal to a enemy tap the take down button and then pressing a following relevant button you can do a intense hard hitting take down move or if you prefer to be a quiet sneaky spy rather than a shoot now ask questions later spy you can sneak behind a enemy and do silent knock outs instead.

If you getting bored of playing on your own why not take the action online and try whooping other wannabe bond player’s arses in 12 various multiplayer modes which some are Bond versus which is having one player play as Bond against a organization to either eliminate them all or by disarming their explosives, Conflict and Team Conflict which is just your basic FFA and team death match, Golden Gun a player takes control of a golden gun to get to the top of score board, Bond Evasion is where you got to get Bond out of the danger zone or eliminate all opponents and Territory Control which is where you score points for capturing and holding location points but protect it well to keep those points coming or lose them if the enemy capture the location point instead, also earning enough points you can purchase new weapons and upgrades for online playing.
