Have You Got What It Takes! UFC Undisputed 2009 Review

UFC09 Undisputed is not a game to be taken lightly, once you entered that octagon ring there is no way out besides either knocking your opponent out or you getting knocked out. It is not like any of the pro-wrestling games that Yuke’s and THQ also developed.

UFC Undisputed has a much more realistic feel to it bringing 6 styles of mixed martial arts which are Kickboxing, boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, judo, wrestling and muay thai these fighting styles are put into two categories for standard fighting and grappling moves, and with all the known top pros from UFC you are guaranteed to put all the fighting styles together or to use them on there own.

The control system of the game is very complex and is a bit confusing at first as it does take a while to get used to, but there is a really good tutorial to take you through the control system to teach you the controls quickly.

Graphically this game is just awe inspiring with its full HD fighters slugging it out and seeing every detail on them you will be busy looking at the details rather than concentrating on the fight, each blow you lend on your opponent sees there body shake and the blood and sweat fly off them, and if you manage to knock them out they will hit the ground like a lead balloon and spitting there gum shield out from the impact. The graphics are truly stunning and make this game truly a joy to play and will immerse you in to each blow and will have your attention as the ring girls walk past.

If you got what it takes why don’t you step up to the ring in career mode and take on new young fighters like yourself and prove that your are the best in the UFC business. Start off by creating your own fighter changing appearance giving them there fighting styles etc. When you are actually designing the look of your character you are limited to styles of heads, hair and body types to choose from then you get to choose a nickname this is the name that you will be known by from the commentators. Once you finished designing your fighter you’ll be chucked into some training and base camps these are the places where you go through basic strikes or take downs and shown how to perform these moves.

You’ll be asked to choose a fighter to fight against and have so many weeks to train up either sparring or training your strength, speed and cardio attributes also progressing through the career you could be asked to attend photo shoots or autograph sessions and unlock new training equipment to get better and unlock sponsors which you can add to your shorts to gain more credit after the fights.

If your not one who gets fed up of playing against a computer controlled player then you could also take your fighting skills to the next level and go online against many different components all over the world so then you really do get a good challenging fight. The online multi player mode lets you do what normally most games with online multiplayer games do which is create your own online game or just join up to some one else that’s already hosting a game and you can play in ranked match’s that will rank you on how good you are out of the players all over the world, due to it being online means that if you found the single player game easy then your in for a shock and most probably a ass whipping.

Overall this is a fresh new face to hit the next-gen consoles and is going to make a lasting impression unlike the some of the other fighting games where you get fed up of the same moves, this is a game where you get to mix the moves up and try new things and is well worth the look, so if we will hopefully see you online and will give you a good match.
