Halo Legends Movie Review

Halo Legends the animated movie takes you beyond what you see and play in the hit games and explains the story in a whole new light.

The film starts out telling the story of how the Halo universe came about, it shows 7 different stories in 8 unique parts. These parts are not only unique but directed by different persons so there is a huge variation in the style and feel of the movie.

Even though it doesn’t seem like it at first all those stories have a lot in common. They all start abruptly without any introduction to the characters, but as the stories go on you will learn many things about the main characters, their personality, social background and even about what got them into their current situation (at some point).

In the main focus of the films are the characters you already got to know in the games, including the Elite. So it is not at all surprising that Master Chief and Cortana, his A.I companion occur on several occasions through-out the stories.

With voice over’s by some of the well known names in the anime and manga scene today, all the voices that have been given to the characters in the animated movie suit and feel like they are the characters genuine voice due to them having such a perfect fit and such a real feel to them.

Whether you like animated films or anime this will be a whole new experience for you or for someone you are introducing in to the world of anime and animated action films. Also at some points this film has a very good likeness to the games in graphical sense and feel with the environment and mood that it immerses you in.

So overall i would give Halo Legends a 7.5/10 Gamersathome score, we think this is a film for the devoted Halo fan and a general audience who like animated action films.
