Taking Over The Planet! LittleBigPlanet Review

This is the one of the most highly anticipated games to hit the PS3 market, published by Sony Computer Entertainment and Developed by Media Molecule this is LittleBigPlanet.

A game that every PS3 owner should have in their collection. LittleBigPlanet brings you more fun and excitement then a jammie dodger and offers more extreme levels of customization than any other game does.

It’s sort of like a basic platform game, which brings back those great memories of the old games like Sonic the hedgehog and Super Mario but with each level on LittleBigPlanet they are so beautifully designed in its own way that each building, scenery, vehicles and even the people and enemies are made from various objects which makes LittleBigPlanet different too other games with its huge range of customization. The graphics is only displayed in 720p which doesn’t make a real big difference as the games graphics are extremely nice and colourful.

The controls of the game are easy and basic using the left analogue stick to move around with the directional buttons you will see that on each direction it will change the facial emotion of sack-person to happy, sad, scared and even angry while holding down the L2 and R2 buttons and moving the right analogue stick it will move sack-persons hands. Talking of the sack-person, with this little sack dude you can customise it with a whole range of different clothes and various items or mixing them up to whichever way you want.

The game starts off with you getting dropped inside your very own pod space station which, guess what you can even customise it by either adding decorations or sticking stickers around the place. You will notice inside the pod there is a PS3 controller which you use to either choose to play in the LittleBigPlanet world where you can start a story mode, quick play, community or LittleBigStore or go to My Moon.

On My Moon which is the level creator using a empty crater you use that spot to create anything and I do mean anything you like, starting off you must choose from a various type of templates to use as a background then opening up either your goodie bag or tool kit where you can select from a massive range of items that you got an unlocked from story mode, but not to worry there is plenty of tutorials to help out if you get stuck. Once you know what you are doing you will be creating anything you want from other levels in games to levels from your favourite movie or anything to your heart’s content and once you have made a level you may upload it onto the community where other users can play and enjoy your creation.

Story Mode is really great fun and can even add up to four other player’s to join in to make it more of a laugh and plus some parts you will need two or more player’s to unlock secret parts in the level. Firstly you get taken through the basic on how to play the game then the world opens up by unlocking new levels and mini games to play, with each new level you open up you will find they get bigger, harder and trickier making the game more of challenge to complete and in each level there are treasure orbs these orbs will unlock new decorations, stickers, clothes and various other items to use in the level creator and to customise your sack-person with, but in some places you will have to use a trigger sticker by sticking a certain type of sticker on a blank spot which will be hidden somewhere on that level or on some other location.

The main part of the LittleBigPlanet is the community, community is the place where you can find, share and play on a mass range of other user created game levels. While playing on levels on the community you can also join in with other users as a co operative play to make the game more fun to play and you can also use the text chat to chat to other users playing with you. There is a feature where you can Heart a level to show that you liked this game and also shows what other created levels that user has made and posted in the community.

LittleBigPlanet has got to be the best game coming to PS3 with its huge amount of customization there is bound to be a ton of downloadable content to grab from the LittleBigStore with also the community and user created levels to play on this is one game you will not find boring anytime soon, so go out and grab this one hell of a game.
